MATCH REPORT | YORK KNIGHTS

Bradford Bulls were edged out of a thrilling contest 16-14 by a determined York Knights side.
Bradford came into this game off the back of a morale boosting 30-0 win vs Hunslet, meanwhile York Knights were on a ten match unbeaten run, which has seen them propel to the top end of the table.
Joe Keyes returned to the team, alongside Matty Gee, with loanees Connor Carr and Fenton Rogers also featuring.
Bradford hit first, as Eribe Doro was pushed at the play the ball and from the resulting penalty that was awarded 10m out from the York line, and Jordan Lilley converted the penalty to hand us a 0-2 lead.
York would score the first try however, as they started to build pressure, and a wild Ata Hingano kick to the corner caused confusion and Connor Carr couldn't take it cleanly, which saw veteran Ben Jones-Bishop collect and touch down.
Another try came soon after, as Liam Harris spotted a gap in the Bulls defence to bury his way over, and the Bulls found themselves behind vs York and a mountain to climb against the Championships form club.
Some great play from Doro once again forced McShane to knock on in his own half, and then after the set, we attacked once again, Joe Keyes floating a superb ball over the top of Scott Galeano into the hands of Jayden Okunbor who scored in the corner, Jordan Lilley converting, 10-8 the score stood at the break.
The Bulls started off strong once again, with a couple of attacking sets on the York 10m, but they stood firm and we couldn't break through, despite a late tackle in the air of Okunbor who looked certain to score.
Then came the blow, a bouncing ball in the centre of the park wasn't picked up by the Bulls defence, and York spread the ball wide which saw them create a two on two situation and Oli Field crashed over, Harris missed the conversion, with the difference in score standing at six, 14-8.
More attacking play from the Bulls as we relentlessly pursued the next score, but it just wouldn't come, and York were awarded a -penalty around 15m out from the Bulls line, which Liam Harris converted to give them a two-score lead with ten minutes to go.
With four minutes remaining, Sam Hallas bundled his way over from close range, Lilley converted to reduce the arrears but the home side would hold out for the two points.
